AdSectator is an editorial website. It publishes written criticism and analysis of advertising campaigns. It doesn't sell anything, run ads of its own, require an account, or collect payment from readers. These terms are short because the site doesn't do much.

What this site is

AdSectator is operated by Christopher Ross, who also runs thisismyurl.com. It is a personal, independent publication, not a client deliverable and not sponsored by any brand it writes about.

The content

Every piece is a work of critical opinion. Where a factual claim is made, it's sourced and linked to a named publication; where an opinion is offered, it's presented as one. Embedded video is linked to publicly available footage for the purpose of criticism and commentary; AdSectator does not claim ownership of any advertisement discussed or embedded here, and rights in that material remain with their respective owners.

Fair use and quotation

You're welcome to quote, excerpt, and link to pieces on this site for commentary, criticism, or reporting, with attribution and a link back. Republishing a piece in full requires asking first, at hello@adsectator.com.

No warranty

Analysis and opinion pieces reflect a good-faith reading of publicly available information at the time of writing. Campaigns, statistics, and company statements can change or be corrected after publication; check the date on a piece before treating a specific figure as current.

Corrections

If something on this site is factually wrong, say so at hello@adsectator.com. Corrections are made openly, with a note on the piece and a date, not silently.
